Eugene E. Trace's Obituary
Ridgeway – Eugene E. Trace, age 83, of Ridgeway, passed away on Sunday, September 3, 2017.
He was born on August 28, 1934 in Lafayette Co., Wisconsin, a son of the late John and Mary (Steffes) Trace. He graduated from Dodgeville High School. He served in the US Army in the Korean War.
He worked at Carnes Corp in Verona for many years and owned and operated a tavern in Ridgeway. He also served on the Ridgeway Fire Dept.
Eugene is survived by his siblings Generose Evans of Dodgeville, Gertrude Houselog of Dubuque, Edward Trace of Janesville, Aletha Duerst of Big Bend, Elaine
Rundle of Dodgeville and Joanne Brunner of Verona; many nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings Robert, Bill and Richard Trace and Rita Millard.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 8, 2017 at ST. JOSEPH'S CATHOLIC CHURCH in Dodgeville. Monsignor Daniel Ganshert will officiate. Inurnment will be held in St. Mary's Cemetery in Mineral Point with Military Graveside Rites Accorded by the Mineral Point American Legion. Friends may call from 9:30 a.m. until time of Mass on Friday at the church.
