Mineral Point - Dorothy Miller, age 92, of Mineral Point passed away peacefully on January 14, 2013.
She was born on November 9, 1920 in Madison the daughter of James and Irene (Hawley) Sullivan. She attended school in Mazomanie, WI. She worked at Oscar Mayer in Madison, Graber's in Middleton, and the Mazo Poultry and Egg Co. in Mazomanie. She married Robert L. Miller on April 30, 1955 at St. Barnabas Catholic Church in Mazomanie. They farmed the family farm until Robert's death in 1987. She was a member of Ss. Mary & Paul Catholic Church in Mineral Point. Dorothy enjoyed her family and friends .
Dorothy is survived by her children, James (Sharon) Sullivan, Debra (Huey Byrne) Kieffer both of Mineral Point, Mary Jo (Terry) Bystol of Dodgeville, and Robert Jr. (Barb) Miller of Dane, WI "Whom she loved very much"; her grandchildren, Cheryl (Steve) Simmons of Mineral Point and Michael (Krystal) Kieffer of Blue Mounds; her step grandchildren, Brandon, TJ and Sammi of Dane, WI; her great -grandchildren Natalie and Wyatt Kieffer of Blue Mounds; many nieces and nephews and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Robert, twin sister Doris Mabin, and sister Kathryn Parkins, brother James Sullivan and infant brother Kenneth.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, January 19, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Ss. MARY & PAUL CATHOLIC CHURCH in Mineral Point. Fr. Monte Robinson will officiate. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery. A visitation will be held on Friday, January 18, 2013 from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. at the GORGEN FUNERAL HOME in Mineral Point and on Saturday from 10:00 until 10:45 a.m. at the church.
