Dodgeville – Dorothy F. (Berg) Meudt, age 86, of Dodgeville, passed away on Wednesday, December 9, 2015 at Atrium Post Acute Care of Mineral Point.

She was born on August 26, 1929 in Dodgeville, a daughter of Frank and Edna (Murty) Berg. After graduating from Ridgeway High School in 1946, she attended Madison Business College.

On April 15, 1950, she married Bernard Meudt in a double wedding ceremony with sister, Charlotte (James Dugan) at St. Bridget's Church in Ridgeway. She enjoyed reading, baseball (GO CUBS), Packers, puzzles and especially, her trip to Ireland.

Dorothy is survived by her daughters, Linda Langmead and Lisa (David) Cross; her six sons, Bruce (Karen) Meudt, Terry Meudt, Pat Meudt, Jeff Meudt, Randy Meudt and Scott Meudt; her grandchildren, Jim (Kate), Shawn (Jen), Josh, Jesse, Aron (Kyle Thering), Todd, Joe Meudt, Jacob Langmead, Hannah, Taylor and Shannon Cross, Meagan and Steven Reed and Travis Tomas; her great grandchildren, Ella, Keenan, Augustin, Sebastian and Makayla Meudt, Nora and Marshall Thering; her brother, Don Berg; other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her son, Jim, her parents, her infant sister, Helen Lois, her sister, Charlotte, her brother-in-law, Jim Dugan, her niece, Patty Dugan.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 15, 2015 at the GORGEN-McGINLEY & AYERS FUNERAL HOME in Dodgeville. Rev. Lecretia Fehrmann will officiate. Burial will be held in St. Bridget's Cemetery. Friends may call from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Monday and from 10:00 a.m. until time of services on Tuesday at the funeral home.
