Dorothy Marie Heins, age 93, of Belmont passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side on Tuesday, August 27, 2013 at the Lafayette Manor in Darlington. She was born on July 10, 1920 the first child of Herman C. and Alice (Roberts) Johnston. She graduated from Mineral Point High School. Dorothy married Marvin F. Heins on January 25, 1939. She was a member of the Peace Lutheran Church in Belmont where she served in the Alter Guild, the Rebekah Lodge #147 in Mineral Point and was past Noble Grand, and LEA Auxillary in Platteville where she was past Matreach.
Dorothy is survived by her children; Dorothy (Charles) Anthony of Belmont, Charles E. (Laurie) Heins of Monroe and Debra Heins (John Larson) of Darlington, a daughter-in-law Meredith Heins of Hebron, IN; 3 grandchildren Robert (Hilary) Anthony, Michael (Laci) Anthony, and Sara Heins; 5 great-grandchildren Tyler Anthony, Amber Anthony, William Anthony, Max Anthony and Emma Jean Marie Anthony; 1 great-great-granddaughter Nevaeh Anthony; a sister Judith (Jerry) Kraus of Dodgeville, sisters-in-law Sandy Johnston of Missouri, Mary Johnston of Minnesota, and Wanda Heins of Mineral Point and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Marvin, a son Harold Heins, brothers and sisters Herman Jr. and Kathleen at infancy, Keneth (Dolly) Johnston, Lavina (Riley) Walrack, Wendel Johnston, Edward Johnston and Ronald Johnston.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, August 31, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at the Peace Lutheran Church in Belmont. Burial will be in the Belmont Cemetery. A visitation will be held on Saturday from 9:00 until 10:45 a.m. at the Peace Lutheran Church.
