Dodgeville – Donald Stiles, age 81, Dodgeville, Wisconsin passed away on Christmas Morning surrounded by his loved ones.

He was born in Boone, Iowa, son of Mitchell John "Red" Stiles and Florence Marie Stiles. His siblings are Danny (Gloria) Stiles and Charlotte Stiles Boyd. Don and Jackie Dolphin were married on January 5, 1963, 61 years ago. They met and started dating in high school.

They are the parents of two children, Jamie Stiles (Alan) Holter of Dodgeville and Kent (Melanie) Stiles, Asbury, Iowa. He was the grandfather of Joe (Mary Kate) Holter, Mineral Point, and Ben (Katie) Holter, New Berlin, WI. Don was the great grandfather of Piper, Sloane, Landon and Owen.

Don was a firefighter for twenty-two years in Ames, Iowa. His position was Driver of the pumper truck. He was required to have full knowledge of all hose sizes, the water pressure and how to achieve and maintain them. He retired from the fire department and moved to Arizona in 1988 where he was self-employed as a window washer including high-rise windows where he used an apparatus to hang over the edge of the building. He was the proud owner of a 1999 Lexus and kept it in top-shape-running order until his death. In 2008, Don and Jackie moved to Dodgeville where he kept up his many hobbies such as auto/engine repair, home improvements, woodworking and yard maintenance.

He will be loved and remembered by his wife and family.
