Blue Mounds – Donald J. Hoffmann, age 89 of Blue Mounds passed away on Saturday, January 29, 2022 at Ingleside Nursing Home. He was the son of Fred H. Hoffman and Wilma Miller and born on March 20, 1932, in Zanesville, Illinois.

He served in the US Navy during the Korean War from 1952 to 1956 and was stationed in Corpus Christi, Texas.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Joan Boatman, his daughter, Cynthia Poisel and son Donald L. Hoffman.

He is survived by his daughter, Lisa Straubhaar (Frank) and his grandchildren, Amanda Ware (Be), Audra Mueller, Amber Poisel, Corey Straubhaar (Marcia), Cody Straubhaar, Colton Straubhaar, Emily Straubhaar and numerous great grandchildren.

A Memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, February 11, 2022 at GRACE LUTHERAN CHURCH in Dodgeville. Rev. Mark Williamson will officiate. Friends may call from 10:00 a.m. until time of service on Saturday, February 11, 2022 at the church.
