Don Arthur Johnsen, 79, of Anchorage, Alaska, passed away peacefully late Tuesday evening on March 25, 2014 at University of Wisconsin Hospital, Madison, WI. He was born in Chicago, Ill. to Leroy and Helen Johnsen. He was predeceased by his brother, Glen in 1996 and his parents. Don will be missed by his two daughters and three sons: Donna Johnsen, Dodgeville, WI; Clifford Johnsen, Anchorage, AK; Deborah Johnsen Olson, Viroqua, WI; Arthur Johnsen, Delevan, WI; and Eric Johnsen, Pell Lake, WI.

Don apprenticed as an electrician in the Chicago local 134 and joined IEW Brotherhood. He travel all over the country working and finally moved up to Alaska in the 1970s. There he joined Alaska IBEW Local 1547 and then brought power to the trans-Alaska oil pipeline from its inception. He was known by his coworkers as Baby Huey and always had a way of making his mark where ever he worked.

Don was an incredibly intelligent man who enjoyed keeping up on the newest technology. He was also man who knew what he wanted and that is how he lived and died.
