Mineral Point - Diane Rose (Quire) Toay died Sunday, April 29, 2012 at the Lafayette County Manor in Darlington, Wisconsin following a several month battle with cancer. Diane was born January 17, 1955, the daughter of Homer and Ella (Rundle) Quire. She graduated from Mineral Point High School in 1973. Diane spent her entire life in and around Mineral Point.

Diane chose to live a simple life. She loved the country, music and animals.

Diane is survived by her mother, Ella Quire of Mineral Point, WI, siblings: George (Geneva) Conners of Mineral Point, WI, Gary (Linda) Conner of Clifton TN, Homer (Sharon) Quire of Monroe, WI, Mark (Linda) Quire of Browntown, WI, Carolyn (Jeff) Jorgenson of Mineral Point, WI, as well as several nieces/nephews and great nieces/nephews and long time close family friend, Steve Hermanson of Mineral Point, WI. She was preceded in death by her father Homer Quire, a brother Jimmy Conners, and a nephew Billy Jo Jorgenson.

There will be a Celebration of Diane's life at the GORGEN FUNERAL HOME on Friday, May 4, 2012, between 5:00 and 7:00pm. Burial will be at the Graceland Cemetery in Mineral Point, WI at a later date.

The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to the Upland Hills Hospice team, Lafayette County Manor and the Gorgen Funeral Home for assisting the family.
