Ridgeway – Delores D. Davis, age 98, of Ridgeway, died on Tuesday, November 20, 2018 at her home.

She was born on April 21, 1920 in Ridgeway, the daughter of Henry and Jennie Olson. She graduated from Ridgeway High School in 1938. On August 23 1939, she married Bernette Davis. They opened Davis Market in 1945 and worked together until 1985 when they retired.

Delores enjoyed many hobbies from gardening to fishing. She enjoyed playing slots, win or lose. However, her family will always remember her for her incredible lefsa that was enjoyed at every holiday. Whenever Delores encountered a problem she said, "Take the bull by the horns". She will probably do that in the next phase of eternity.
Delores' desire was to stay in her own home and thanks to the loving care of her grandson Perry; she was able to do that.

Delores is survived by her two sons Dennis (Judy) Davis of Spring Green and Greg (Margaret) Davis of Lodi; her daughter-in-law Mary Kay Davis; 13 grandchildren and many great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, her daughter Doreen (Harold) Nichols, her son Eric Davis and her grandson Lance.

A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, November 23, 2018 at the GORGEN-McGINLEY & AYERS FUNERAL HOME in Dodgeville. Friends may call from 11:00 a.m. until time of services on Friday at the funeral home.
