Scottsdale, AZ - David M. Laverty died on February 4, 2022 in Scottsdale, AZ. He was born on April 2, 1943 the son of Vernon and Lenore Laverty. David graduated from Mineral Point High School in 1961. He graduated form the University of Wisconsin with a PhD in Food Research and also served in the US Army.

David married Linda Stackowski on January 11, 1969. He held various positions in the food industry before moving to Scottsdale where he worked in the Hearing Aid Industry.

David is survived by his wife, Lin; son Jeff, four grandchildren Mackenzie, Nathan, Jax and Havyn; two sisters June (Butch) Hasz and Patty Ross; sisters-in-law Susan Smyth and Margie Laverty; a brother-in-law Art Stackowski and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

David is preceded in death by his parents, a son Shawn, brother Larry and sister-in-law Sue (Galle) Laverty and in-laws Harry and Geneva Stackowski.

A Graveside Service for David and his son Shawn will be held on Wednesday, August 31, 2022 at 11:00 AM at St Mary's Cemetery in Mineral Point. Fr. Michael Tarigopula will officiate.
