Dodgeville – Carolyn Joyce LeGrand passed away peacefully on December 10, 2024, just shy of her 85th
birthday. Born on December 21, 1939, in Terre Haute, Indiana, Carolyn was the cherished daughter
of Edward and Frieda Goetz.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents, and brothers Edward, Robert, Jack, and Ralph
Goetz; her sisters Wilma Thomas, Marge Lyle, and Mary Smith; grandchild Noah Brandherm; and
her first husband, Robert O. Brandherm.

A devoted and loving mother, Carolyn was the heart of her family. Her legendary hugs and big kisses
were a source of comfort and joy to her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Her
positivity and encouragement inspired her family to chase their dreams and believe in themselves.
Carolyn's zest for life was infectious, and her love of music—especially the works of Carly Simon,
Jamess Tayler and Waylon Jennings—created a soundtrack of warmth and happiness for her loved
ones.

Carolyn found joy in the simple pleasures of life. In her younger days, she would dance around the
house to the top 40 hits on the radio, creating memories her family will always cherish. As a farm
wife to her beloved husband Larry, she cultivated not only a thriving garden but also a deep
appreciation for hard work, laughter, and the bounty of nature.

Her sense of humor and love of storytelling brought laughter to every gathering. Whether she was
sharing jokes with friends or enjoying quiet moments with her family, Carolyn's laughter was a
constant reminder of the beauty of connection and joy.

She was also well known as an exceptional cook, and she loved preparing a feast for her loved ones
at holidays and special occasions. She seemed to always be cooking something delicious for her
friends and family, and no one left her home hungry.

Carolyn is survived by her loving husband Larry LeGrand; her children Michael Brandherm, Mary
Storkson, Amy Schulz, Julie Tripple, and Aaron LeGrand; stepchildren Jill LeGrand Pocius, Eric
LeGrand, and Larry G. LeGrand; her sister Bonnie Ohlendorf; and her twenty-four grandchildren and
ten great-grandchildren, all of whom carry forward her legacy of love, humor, and resilience.

Carolyn's warmth, humor, and boundless love have left an indelible mark on the hearts of all who
knew her. She will be deeply missed but forever celebrated in the stories, laughter, and music she
so cherished.

In keeping with Carolyn's wishes, no funeral service will be held. A Memorial Service or Celebration
of Life may be held later.
