Dodgeville – Carol Marie Philipps, age 92, of Dodgeville, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, April 20, 2025, at Crestridge Assisted Living in Dodgeville.

Carol was born to Albert and Alice Skogen on January 12, 1933. She and James Philipps were married on April 18, 1953 and resided in Dodgeville, WI.

Carol enjoyed crocheting, sewing, painting, getting together with friends and enjoyed all of her family's activities and achievements.

Carol is survived by her children Marcia (Dave) Hyzer, Cathy (Scott) Thomas, Debra (Larry) Roth, Frank (Barb), Joe (Mary), Tom (Julie), Mike (Mary), and Patrick (Allison); 9 children; 20 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren; and she was proud of all of them.

She was preceded in death by her husband Jim (2019) and her son Steven (2006).

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 26, 2025, at ST. JOSEPH'S CATHOLIC CHURCH in Dodgeville. Burial will be held at St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery. A luncheon will follow at the church. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until 10:50 a.m. on Saturday, April 26, 2025, at the church.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Carol's name to St. Joseph's Catholic School, Agrace Hospice or a charity of your choice.
