Ridgeway – Burnell D. "Bud" Johnson, age 89, of Ridgeway, passed away peacefully surrounded by family as he took his final journey home.

Bud was born on August 30, 1932 to Clarence and Daisy Johnson, where he was raised on a farm learning hard work and dedication.

Bud loved basketball and baseball and quickly became a passion and a job while he was stationed in the US Army.

After his four-year service in the Army, he met the love of his life, Brenda. Together they had two sons whom he taught his love for ball. While working at Wick Homes for over 30 years, he also coached baseball.

Bud is survived by his wife Brenda Johnson; his sons Steven (Lori) Johnson and Mark (Jody) Johnson; his brother Norbert (Diana) Johnson; his grandchildren Amber (Bruce) Johnson, Andrea Johnson, Brittany (Gary) Paulus, Brianna Johnson, Samantha Johnson, Sadie Johnson; 13 great grandchildren; many, many nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers Norman, Chester, Donald and Dallas, his sister Mary Ellen Eveland and his great grandson Kaden Johnson.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, August 28, 2022 from 12:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at the BARNEVELD AMERICAN LEGION, 102 Wood Street, Barneveld WI 53507.
