Mineral Point - Betty Kieffer, age 89, of Mineral Point passed away on March 16, 2019 at Atrium Post Acute Care in Mineral Point after a brief illness.

Betty was adopted as a small child by Pete & Loretta Kieffer. She attended Mineral Point schools graduating in 1947. She worked for the city of Madison until coming home to help her parents. She then worked at Lands End, Walmart & she volunteered at the Iowa County Humane Society.

Betty is survived by her brother Jerry of Washington and her very special friends Ed and Mary Joestgen.

She is preceded in death by her parents, 3 brothers Tom, Bob and Jim and a sister Margaret.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, March 20, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at Ss. MARY & PAUL CATHOLIC CHURCH in Mineral Point. Fr. David Flanagan will officiate. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery. A visitation will be held on Wednesday from 1:00 p.m. until time of service at the church
