Ridgeway – Betty Jean (Withee) Harris, age 94, formerly of Ridgeway, passed away on Monday, June 15, 2026 at Lancaster Health Services. Betty was born January 13, 1932 in Green County to Andrew and Elsie (Speth) Withee.

Betty attended rural grade schools and Boscobel High School. Betty's family moved to Ridgeway, where she married George Harris. They had one son Ricki.

Betty previously lived at Bloomfield Manor and upon its closing moved to Lancaster Health Services. Although the move was difficult for her, Betty did as she had done her whole life and adjusted. It was a few months ago she said, "I love it here."

Betty was one of a kind, sometimes sweet and sometimes spunky. If you knew her, you loved her.

Betty loved activities at both Bloomfield and Lancaster. She also spent many hours coloring.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers Donald and Andy Withee, three sisters Alice Withee, Yvonne Ihus and Bessie Walton, her husband George and her son Ricki.

Betty is survived by many friends, including Marlene, Carol and Erin and several nieces and nephews.

Betty was fortunate to have caring and loving staff at Bloomfield Manor, Lancaster Health Services and St. Croix Hospice. They are truly angels in disguise. Thank you!

Private graveside services will be held on Monday, June 22, 2026 at EASTSIDE EBENEZER CEMETERY in Ridgeway.
