Mineral Point - Barbara F. Palzkill, age 66, of Mineral Point, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, February 21, 2019 at Upland Hills Health in Dodgeville.

Barb was born August 1, 1952, in Dodgeville to Cedric & Alvina (Huza) Reese. She graduated from Dodgeville High School in 1970. After high school, Barb worked at the family restaurant; Reese's Dining, for 22 years. She was united in marriage to Brian Palzkill on May 5, 1979. Her love of children was evident when she babysat for many Mineral Point families over the years. Barb then worked as a cook for the Mineral Point School District. She was well-known for many delicious dishes especially her sweet rolls, chicken noodle soup, and apple pies. Other favorite pastimes included spending time with her family, winning at Diamond Jo in Dubuque, and the cookie club she had with a great group of lifelong friends.

Barb is survived by her loving husband of 39 years, Brian; son Jamie (Nikki); grandchildren Reagan, Grayson, & Lawson, all of Mt Horeb, and fur "daughter" Macy; her five siblings Mary (Jerry) Davis, Barneveld; Kenny (Anita) Reese, Bill (Jody) Reese, Margaret (Art) Humbert, Ellen Rochon, all of the Dodgeville area; 20 Palzkill brothers and sisters-in-law; and many nieces & nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother Don; father & mother-in-law Herman & Mary Palzkill; sister-in-law Judy Palzkill; and brothers-in-law Jim and Ron Palzkill.

A Celebration of Life will be held from 12:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 16, 2019 at the GORGEN-McGINLEY & AYERS FUNERAL HOME in Dodgeville.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family.
