Cobb - Azhara Ivey Kennicker, age 5, born on April 24, 2013, passed away February 17, 2019 with her parents by her side. She had a warrior's spirit, but her body finally lost its courageous battle. Being born with CHD (Congenital Heart Disease), she spent many days at the Children's Hospital of Wisconsin. She had countless surgeries and procedures, and though it took longer than most planned, she always managed to bounce back. She made many friends and touched so many people during her brief time with us. There wasn't a sporting event on tv she wouldn't watch with her dad, an art project her and mommy didn't attempt, a book she wouldn't listen to when read by the nurses or grandmas, a joke she wouldn't play on her grandpas (she knew they were afraid of her alarms), or spending every second a very proud big sister. Until the end, her proudest time was spent with her friends in the IG 4K program. She loved being around all her classmates, and especially when they took the time to sit down and read to her. When she wasn't working on school or projects, she would sneak away on her deck to watch the birds and butterflies.

Azhara is survived by her loving parents, Tyler and Christi Kennicker, one sister Espn, two brothers Moxon and Riddick, her grandparents David and Lori Kennicker, Brad and Paula Ziegelmann, and Mark and Melinda Rischar, two uncles Brian (Sarah Gonsior) Kennicker, Danny Ziegelmann, five aunts Amber Kennicker, Katie (Trevor Nash) Rischar, Abbie (Doug) Lyke, Bethany (Jeremy) Kiefer, and Marissa Boyer, her favorite cousin Tremaine Kennicker, her loving godparents Jason Ruskell and Kathy Bobadilla, her Great-Grandparents, and countless cousins and many, many friends. She was preceded in death by her great-grandparents Arnold and Elizabeth Kennicker, Paul Tuescher, and her great-aunt Jill Ruskell.

A public visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Friday, February 22, 2019 at the GORGEN-McGINLEY & AYERS FUNERAL HOME in Dodgeville. Private family services will be held.

The family would like to thank all those that helped with the endless needs required to make her life at home possible. Without Marilyn Cuda, Coral Swanson, Claudia Gehlaart and the other nurses over the years Azhara wouldn't have strived in her home setting. A special thank you to all the staff at the Children's Hospital of Wisconsin for your countless hours making sure we would get her home each time. Last but not least, the Make-A-Wish foundation for her wonderful deck that allowed her to enjoy her time outside.
