Dodgeville - Austin S. Merrison, age 22 of Dodgeville, passed away on Wednesday, May 4, 2016 of substance abuse.

He was born March 16, 1994 to Tammy Pohle Miller and Dennis Merrison. Austin was a very upbeat and happy young man that could cheer anyone up. He is known for his musical talents and comical nature. He will be greatly missed by every heart he touched.

Austin is survived by his parents, Tammy Pohle Miller of Dodgeville and Dennis (Jennifer) Merrison of Lone Rock; his brothers, Miles Pohle of Mineral Point, Sam Colin of Dodgeville and Layne Merrison of Lone Rock; his sisters, Alexis Udelhoven (Wes Stanek) and Jade Udelhoven (Tim Kilby) of Muscoda and their son Teven Kilby; his step-brother Matt Starr of Boscobel; his grandparents, Harold and Helen Merrison of Hollandale/Rewey. He is further survived by special extended family members, Charles and Tammy Symons and their children and many aunts, uncles, and numerous other family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Albert and Ruth Crooks and Milton Pohle, cousins, Travis Dunlavy-Santoro, Devalynn Mutert and Chastity Miller.

Services with be held at 4:00 p.m. on Monday, May 9, 2016 at the GORGEN-McGINLEY & AYERS FUNERAL HOME in Dodgeville. Friends may call from 1:00 p.m. until 3:45 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home.
