Barneveld – Amy R. Thomas, age 85, of Barneveld, passed away on Saturday, July 18, 2015 at Bloomfield Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Dodgeville.
She was born on December 8, 1929 in Gratiot, WI, a daughter of the late Abraham and Sarah Nelson. She married David Harold Thomas in 1946. He preceded her in death in 2011. Amy worked at the Karakahl Inn in Mt. Horeb and Ryser Cheese for many years and loved gardening and playing in the Country Western Band with her husband.
Amy is survived by her children, Douglas (fiancé, Simone) Thomas, Margaret (Lyle) Fish, Regina (Jim) Kraszka and Diana (Richard) Petro; 6 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 22, 015 at the GORGEN-McGINLEY & AYERS FUNERAL HOME in Dodgeville. Pastor Jamie Johnson will officiate. Burial will be held in White Church Cemetery in Barneveld. Friends may call from 9:30 a.m. until time of services on Wednesday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Bloomfield Healthcare or Agace HospiceCare.
