Reta Lou Brown

Mineral Point / Port Washington - Reta Lou Brown, age 70, of Port Washington, formerly on Mineral Point, loving mother and devoted grandmother passed away at age 70. Reta was born in 1947 to Fred and Evangeline Reber. She received her Bachelor's degree from University of Wisconsin-Platteville. In 1967, she married William Paul Brown. They raised two sons, Mike and Rob. She worked in the fields of education and marketing for years. Reta was an absolutely devoted grandmother, standing on countless sidelines and sitting through numerous concerts to support her grandchildren. She was a terrific cook and baker, and loved trying out new recipes. She was quick to laugh, especially when surrounded by her family. Reta was a talented seamstress, loved to read and do puzzles. Reta was preceded in death by her father Fred, her mother Evangeline, her sister Nancy, her husband Bill and her youngest son, Rob. She is survived by her son Mike and his three children, Emma, Robert and Henry, her sister Diane, her brother Gary as well as many nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 2, 2018 at Ss. MARY & PAUL CATHOLIC CHURCH in Mineral Point. Visitation will be from 10:00 am until time of service on Saturday, June 2, 2018 at the church. A luncheon will follow. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorials can be made to the American Cancer Society.
