Dodgeville / Darlington – Mary Rita Boyle, age 88, of Dodgeville, formerly of Darlington, passed away on Thursday, January 24, 2013 at Bloomfield Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Dodgeville, surrounded by her loving family. Mary Rita was born on November 9, 1924 to Joseph and Catherine (McComish) Schuchart in Seymour Township, Lafayette County, Wisconsin. She graduated from Mineral Point High School in 1942 and on December 28, 1943, she was united in marriage to Joseph T. Boyle at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Darlington. Mary Rita and Joseph resided in Darlington for a number of years and following Joseph's death, she relocated to Dodgeville in 1999. She is survived by six children, Sherry (Ralph) Andrews, of Green Bay, Gerald (Mary Jacobson) Boyle, of DeForest, Bob (Jeanne) Boyle, of Darlington, Kelly Boyle, of Darlington, Linda (Greg) Pittz, of Dodgeville and Patti (Tim) Fink, of Sherman, IL; her daughter-in-law, Penny Boyle; her sisters-in-law, Maxine Schuchart and Sonya Block; fourteen grandchildren, Mark (Dawn) Andrews, R. David Andrews, III (friend, Angie Kustic), Suzanne (Terry) Ames, Shannon (Jason) Kobylarczyk, Ericka (Tom) Lutz, Allie Bradish (friend, Christopher Allen), Joseph Boyle (friend, Michelle Esser), Kristina Boyle (fiancé, Eli Fitzsimons), Mackenzie Boyle (fiancé, Jordan Tortenson), Jacob Boyle, First Lt. Scott Fink, Brady (Jacque) Pittz, Katy Pittz and Stephanie Pittz (friend, Travis Marten); seven great grandchildren, Gretchen and Brock Andrews, Ashleigh Ames, Jaykob and Jackson Kobylarczyk, Gracie Lutz and Kashton Bradish. When Mary Rita resided in Darlington, she was employed at Sleep's Drug Store, Lafayette County Manor and Kelly's Restaurant and in later years, became a care-giver for a number of Darlington residents. Upon relocating to Dodgeville, she resided at Dodge Villa apartments and more recently at Bloomfield Manor. She was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church and its Altar Society. She was also a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Dodgeville. She loved to watch her children and grandchildren play sports, and was an avid NASCAR racing fan and looked forward to the weekend races. She also was a prolific reader and gardener. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, January 29, 2013 at HOLY ROSARY CATHOLIC CHURCH in Darlington. Fr. Randy Budnar will officiate. Burial will be held in Holy Rosary Cemetery. Friends may call from 9:30 a.m. until time of Mass on Tuesday at HOLY ROSARY CATHOLIC CHURCH. The family would like to thank Bloomfield Healthcare and St. Jude Hospice for the excellent care provided to her during her final years and days of her life.
