Larry D. Conley

Ridgeway - Larry Conley passed away in Darlington, WI on Saturday, December 18, 2021 at the age of 73. He was an animal and nature lover, science enthusiast, and an utterly charming man. Larry was born in Richland Center, WI to Millard and Shirley Conley on September 19, 1948. He was a Vietnam War veteran, having served in the United States Navy aboard the aircraft carrier USS Oriskany. Larry never retired as he loved his work – he worked full time, and did so until weeks before his death. Larry is survived by his mother Shirley Conley, his son Justin and daughter Courtney, his sisters Barb and Melinda, his brothers Dean and Tom, and his grandchildren, Drake and Raquel. He was preceded in death by his father, Millard Conley. Larry loved to laugh, and loved to make people laugh. He had a ready smile, and a vivid sense of humor ranging from dry to bawdy. He loved Westerns, keeping up on scientific discoveries, and the man loved his coffee. He really enjoyed coffee, seriously. Larry will be missed, and we are glad that he lived a full life – a human life, filled with love, hard work, friends, and family. Larry will be cremated as per his wishes. There will be no services.
