Audrey Marie Wagner

Dodgeville – Audrey Marie Wagner, age 93, of Dodgeville, passed away peacefully at Upland Hills Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Dodgeville, WI on Wednesday, May 4, 2022. Audrey was born on October 15, 1928, the daughter of Verl “Pickles” and Gladys (Coyier) Nolen. Her parents owned and operated the Hi-Point Supper Club in Ridgeway for many years. She graduated from Ridgeway High School in 1946 and on December 14, 1946, Audrey was united in marriage to Kenneth Laverne Wagner of Livingston, WI. After her husband’s death in 1962, she raised her six young children with much love and determination. Audrey worked as a waitress and hostess for more than 35 years, first at Aide’s Supper Club and then at Thym’s Supper Club. She was an Avon representative for over 35 years. She made many lifelong friends and memories and was an active member of the Ridgeway United Methodist Church. Audrey enjoyed baking, cooking, pasty making at the church, dancing, bingo, and bowling. Audrey is survived by her daughter Mary Wagner-McCutchin of Dodgeville; her sons Jerry (Diane) of Overland Park, KS, Kenny Nolen of Fitchburg, and Kevin (Kathie) of Estero, FL; her daughter-in-law Marcia May Wagner of Mineral Point and her sister-in-law Helen Kenny of Dodgeville. Audrey is further survived by 19 grandchildren and 35 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband Kenneth, sons Larry and Kerry, her grandson-in-law Kevin Weier, her parents, brothers and sisters, and many in-laws. The family would like to thank Upland Hills Nursing and Rehabilitation staff and nurses for Mom’s compassionate care received in the past few years. Mom was proud of her family. We were the lucky ones. Mom has left a beautiful memory and a sorrow too great to be told. To all of us who loved you and lost you, memories of you will never grow old. Always a beautiful memory of the one we loved so dear. Funeral Services will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 7, 2022 at the GORGEN-McGINLEY & AYERS FUNERAL HOME in Dodgeville. Rev. Jim Droste will officiate. Friends may call from 3:00 p.m. until time of service on Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Sunday at Rock Church Cemetery in Livingston.
