June S. Ottoway

Linden - June S. Ottoway, age 69, of Linden Wi, passed away suddenly in her home on 2/22/22. June was born July 6, 1952 in St Paul, MN the daughter of Lloyd Sherman and Lorrayne Knutson. She grew up and lived there with her two sisters Charlene and Linda until September of 1991, when she moved to Mineral Point, WI to be closer to her daughter Sherrie and her new husband Chris. She met the love of her life Jerry, shortly afterwards. June and Jerry married in their home on August 7th of 2001. They lived together in Linden, WI until his death on February 6, 2014. June worked a few places during her time in WI; Pizza Hut, Piggly Wiggly (Dick’s), Casey’s, and Kwik Trip. She was a fun, free spirited person who had so much love to give. She was always there to greet you with a smile, and was there for anyone that needed it. She was always there to offer her advice, and she always had her arms wide open for a hug. She loved her family more than anything! Her uplifting posts every morning on Facebook will be truly missed. She was preceded in death by her husband Gerald (Jerry) Ottoway, her parents Lloyd and Lorrayne Sherman, her mother-in-law Darlene Ottoway, her twin granddaughters Gracie May and Marley Ann Freund, her brother Thomas Sherman, and her beloved dogs Nathanial, Makenzie, and China. June is survived by her daughters, Sherrie (Chris) Hohler of Linden, WI, and Angel (Josh) Freund of Cedar Rapids, IA; her Grandchildren: Dillon, Travis, and Shane Hohler, Jorden and Lennon Freund, and Michael and Trinity Hanson; her two Great-Grandchildren Ivan and Raiden Hohler; her sisters Charlene (Jeff) Sanburg of Vadnis Heights, MN and Linda (Denny) Strong of Danbury, WI; her in-laws, Julie (Kevin) Sincox of Ridgeway, WI, Wayne (Terry) Ottoway Allen, TX, Robert (Natalie) Ottoway Phoenix, AZ, Bill (Patricia) Ottoway of Mineral Point, WI, David Ottoway of Mineral Point, WI, her baby boy Bubby, and her very special friend Brian "Woody" Wood and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends A Celebration of June's Life will be held on Saturday, March 5, 2022 from 12:00 until 3:00 PM, followed by a short Remembrance Service at the Gorgen McGinley & Ayers Funeral Home in Dodgeville. A gathering of friends and family will follow at the Red Room in Dodgeville. Burial of cremains will be held in Graceland Cemetery at a later date.
