Mineral Point - Francis John McCarville “Frank”, age 80 of Mineral Point passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 29, 2010. He was born in Willow Springs Township on October 28, 1929, the son of Leo and Celia (Mongold) McCarville. Frank served in the United States Marine Corps and then was a plumber until his retirement in 1992. Frank was involved with the VFW, Veterans, Iowa County Fair Board, and the Mineral Point T-Riders Snowmobile Club. Frank loved the outdoors, camping, fishing, and hunting.
Frank was blessed with 5 wonderful children Marcia (Mark) McCutchin, Kris (Richard Kloster) McCarville, David McCarville, Alan (Kara) McCarville, and Dean McCarville, he was also blessed with 4 grandchildren; Lindsey (Carl) Mueller, Jacob (Krystle Chapman) McCutchin, Beth Imhoff, and Alayna McCarville, and one great-granddaughter Alexa McCutchin, two sisters Doris (Phil) Wiegmann, and Elaine (Charlie) Bratton, and a brother Bob (Jean) McCarville, and many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, and his brother Joe McCarville.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, May 3, 2010 at 10:30 am at Ss MARY & PAUL CATHOLIC CHURCH in Mineral Point. Father James Hinnen will officiate. Burial will be in St. Paul’s Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call on Sunday, May 2, 2010 fro 4:00 until 8:00 pm at the GORGEN FUNERAL HOME in Mineral Point and also on Monday from 9:30 am until time of service at the church.
