March 10, 1938 - February 6, 2010

Mineral Point - Eleanor “Ellie” C. Graber, age 71, of Mineral Point passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 6, 2010 surrounded by her loving family at her home. She was born March 10, 1938 in Kendall Township the daughter of James and Delores (Ferrick) Carey. She graduated from Mineral Point High School in 1956. Ellie married Kenneth Graber on September 14, 1957. She worked as a waitress for many years in Mineral Point at several locations. She was presently employed at Land’s End. She was a garage sale fanatic, enjoyed gambling, made chocolate chip cookies to share with others. Ellie loved her children and grandchildren and never missed any of their events over the years. Ellie and Kenny were members of the Mineral Point Wrestling Club and were inducted into the Mineral Point Wrestling Hall of Fame. She enjoyed the coffee clutch to get the “scoop”. She was a member of St Mary’s and St. Paul’s Catholic Church and the Catholic Daughters.

Ellie is survived by her husband of 53 years, Kenny; her children, Debbie (Terry) Mester of Mineral Point and their children Justin and Cory Sokol, Laurie (John) Troia, of Madison and their children Regina and Rachel Troia, Rodney (Mary Thiel) Graber, of Madison, granddaughter, Stacey Graber daughter of Scottie Graber, and Brian (Beth) Graber of Mineral Point and their daughter Emily; Special family, Tina and Ted Pittz and children, Tucker and Alicia of Mineral Point, several brothers and sisters-in–law and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, a son, Scottie Graber, a son-in-law, Steve Sokol, a brother, Raymond Carey, and a sister, Patricia Carey.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, February 11, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at Ss. MARY & PAUL CATHOLIC CHURCH in Mineral Point. Fr. James Hinnen will officiate. Burial will be held in St. Mary’s Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call on Wednesday, February 10, 2010 from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. and on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until time of Mass at Ss. MARY & PAUL CATHOLIC CHURCH in Mineral Point.
