Grant W. Gorgen Grant is the oldest son of Greg and Joan Gorgen. He graduated from Mineral Point High School in 1981 and Worsham College of Mortuary Science, Chicago in 1988. He married Ann Harford in April of 2001 and together they have two sons, Grady and Gunnar, and Ann's daughters, Lexie and Tyra.
Grant is a member of the Congregational United Church of Christ in Mineral Point, the Mineral Point Lion's Club, where he served as president from 1996-1997, Pheasants Forever, the Fayette Sportsman Club and has been a 15 year sponsor of Duck's Unlimited. He co-owns Spring Valley Pheasants and Too-Tall Christmas Tree Farm in Mineral Point. Michael R. Gorgen Mike is the second oldest son of Greg and Joan Gorgen. He graduated from Mineral Point High School in 1985 and Milwaukee Area Technical College in 1991 with an associate degree in funeral service. In February 1995, he married Jennifer Rebholz in Milwaukee and they have three sons, Matthew, Joshua and Ryan. In 1999, Mike and Jenny moved their family to Dodgeville and bought the McGinley Funeral Home. Mike is a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus, the Dodgeville Lion's Club, where he served as President from 2005-2006 and serves on the Education Committee at St. Joseph's School. He also served on the Unified Board of Grant and Iowa Counties and currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Wisconsin Funeral Directors Association and is President of Southwest Wisconsin Funeral Directors Association. Gregory W. Gorgen Greg is the third generation of the Gorgen family in Gorgen Family Services. He graduated from Mineral Point High School in 1957 and the Wisconsin Institute of Mortuary Science, Milwaukee in 1960. In May of 1962, he married Joan Thiede in Milwaukee and they have four children: Grant, Mike, Steve, Beth and twelve grandchildren.
Greg is a member of St. Mary's-St. Paul's Catholic Church in Mineral Point, the Knights of Columbus, the Mineral Point Kiwanis Club, and the Mineral Point Lion's Club, where he served as Charter President from 1981-1982. He is an avid Notre Dame fan and a die-hard Chicago Cub's fan since 1948. Leo A. McGinley Leo graduated from Prairie du Chien High School in 1953 and married the former Judy Kramer in 1954. Leo served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. He received his Mortuary Science Degree from the University of Minnesota in 1964. After working in South Dakota, Portage and Fond du Lac, Leo bought the Minderman Funeral Home in Dodgeville in 1970, which he operated until 1999. In 1985, Leo bought the Ayers Funeral Home in Ridgeway with Greg Gorgen. Leo lives in Cobb, and is a member of St. Bridget's Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus and a lifetime member of the V.F.W. Leo is an avid Badger Hockey fan and goes fishing every chance he gets. |
