Filardo, Jack F.
April 6, 1943 - February 18, 2010

Mineral Point - Jack F. Filardo age 66 of Mineral Point passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, February 18, 2010. He was born on April 6, 1943, the son of Frank Filardo and Helen (Collins) Filardo Galle. He was self-employed by Filardo Chemical Company and Filardo Matting Company. Jack enjoyed his children and his grandchildren greatly. He loved making homemade Italian sausage, cooking and making wine. He enjoyed his many colorful friends. Jack will be remembered for his comical sense of humor. He enjoyed and appreciated his good friend, Gary Schmit.

Jack is survived by the mother of his 6 children, Judy Jacobson Filardo, of Mineral Point; his children, Tory Enzenroth, of Dodgeville, Heidi (Ken) Meixelsperger, of Parker, TX, John Filardo, of Windsor, Nick (Tammy) Filardo of Mineral Point, Gabe (Claire) Filardo, of Mt Horeb, Angie (Matt) Lawinger, of Verona; eight grandchildren, Amy Enzenroth, Joah, Koby, and Luke Filardo, Nicholas, Cassidy, and Ashton Lawinger, Gianni Filardo and step grandson, Boston Edler; his nephews, Paul (Patty) Kearns and Frank Kearns; his niece, Paula (Denny) Mitchell. He was preceded in death by his parents, an infant son, Joseph and his sister, Marie Kadlec.

Private family graveside services will be held on Father’s Day Weekend in June at St. Paul’s Catholic Cemetery in Mineral Point.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be sent to the funeral home.

As quoted by Jack, "his greatest achievement in life is his six children".
