Evans, Ralph V.
September 21, 1921 - February 14, 2010

DODGEVILLE - Ralph Evans, age 88, of Dodgeville, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 14, 2010, at Bloomfield Manor. He was a lifelong resident of Dodgeville. He was born on September 21, 1921 to Edward and Sheba (Vivian) Evans. He graduated from Dodgeville High School in 1937. On August 22, 1942, Ralph married Jo Ann Rock at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Dodgeville. Ralph farmed for many years and retired from farming in 1995. He drove truck for Mark James Trucking company prior to retiring.

Ralph is survived by his sons, Corky (Eileen) Evans of New London, WI, Joe (Nancy) Evans of Myrtle Beach, SC and John Evans of Bloomington, MN; his grandchildren, Cory (Catherine) Evans of Wilmette, IL, Tatum Evans (Todd Mayberry) of San Antonio, TX, Peggy Rouse of Cassville, WI, and Anita Evans of Pawleys Island, SC; his great-grandchildren, Kessa Evans of Peshtigo, Kendra Rouse of Cassville and Sybil Grace Evans and Gordon Evans of Wilmette, IL; his sisters, Jayne Harrison of Dodgeville and Lois Collins of Dodgeville; his brothers, Jim (Sharon) Evans of Barneveld and Ron (Joyce) Evans of Dodgeville; his sister-in-law, Peg Rock of Dodgeville; sister-in-law, Pat Rock of Dodgeville; as well as other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Jo Ann (2007) and his brother Don.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 18, 2010, at ST. JOSEPH'S CATHOLIC CHURCH, in Dodgeville. Father Patrick Wendler will officiate. Burial will be held in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Friends may call from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday and from 9:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. on Thursday at GORGEN-McGINLEY & AYERS FUNERAL HOME in Dodgeville.

Ralph and the three sons want to extend a special thank you to Ralph's sister-in-law, Peg Rock, for all of her loving care given to Ralph during his stay at Bloomfield Manor. Peg is a special person! They also want to thank the staff at Bloomfield Manor for their special care.
