Casper, Bonnie L.
May 14, 1942 - January 14, 2009

Dodgeville - Bonnie L. Casper, age 66, of Dodgeville, died on Wednesday, January 14, 2009 in her home surrounded by her family after a brave battle with cancer. She was born on May 14, 1942 at General Hospital in Dodgeville to Milton and Minetta (Wearne) Treweek of Linden, Wisconsin. Bonnie attended school in Linden and graduated from Mineral Point High School, in the class of 1960. She worked for several years at Skogmo’s Department Store in downtown Dodgeville where she met her husband. On February 19, 1966, she married John Casper of Dodgeville.

Bonnie and John purchased a dairy farm outside of Dodgeville shortly after they married. Bonnie became a proud farm wife and worked side by side with John. They had four children. In 1985, Bonnie joined the Lands’ End hemming department and was an employee for over 23 years. She quickly gained many friends, many her best friends today. Bonnie enjoyed snowmobiling, raising rabbits, baking, spending time with family especially her grandchildren, listening to country music, and traveling.

Bonnie is survived by her husband, John; four children, Michele Casper, of Ridgeway, Christine Casper (fiancé Bruce Reynolds), of Dodgeville, Kari (John) Malinowski, of Wauwatosa, Brian (Roxanne) Casper, of Dodgeville; four grandchildren, Lauren, Mallory, and Marek Malinowski and Alexa Casper; her only sister, Florence Wasley, of Dodgeville; her brother-in-law, Bernard (Judy) Casper, of Dodgeville, her sisters-in-law, Janice Palmer, of Belleville and Marlene (Ross) Jones, of Dodgeville; many nieces and nephews other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Milton and Minetta Treweek.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, January 19 at ST. BRIDGET’S CATHOLIC CHURCH in Ridgeway with Father Peter Auer officiating. Burial will be held in St. Bridget’s Cemetery. Friends can call from 2:00 – 6:00 pm on Sunday, January 18th at GORGEN-McGINLEY & AYERS FUNERAL HOME in Dodgeville and from 10:00 – 11:00 am, on Monday at the church.
